On August 8, 2017, the plaintiff and the defendant signed a "Sichuan Province Commercial Housing Sales Contract" and a supplementary agreement to the "Commercial Housing Sales Contract". The agreement stipulated that the defendant would purchase an underground parking space developed by the plaintiff located at No. 0228, negative third floor, Wanshengcheng · Huafu, East Section of Han'an Avenue, Dongxing District, Neijiang City, Sichuan Province. The total price of the underground parking lot was 75000 yuan (in words: seventy-five thousand yuan). The plaintiff and defendant agreed to pay the price in installments, and paid 30% of the total price of the first phase of the commercial housing, which is 22500 yuan (in words: twenty-two thousand five hundred yuan), before August 8, 2017. The agreement was made in June 2021. Before the 29th of the month, the remaining 70% of the payment, which is 52500 yuan (in words: Fifty two thousand five hundred yuan), was paid. However, the defendant failed to pay the final payment as agreed in the agreement. As of the date of filing the lawsuit, despite multiple reminders from the plaintiff, the defendant has not fulfilled the aforementioned payment obligations.
